- The second amendment does not give a person the right to carry a gun. It also does not restrict gun control. The NRA is a propaganda organization that tramples our Constitution. This is politics not Constitutional law.

- Rosemary thinks it is unfortunate. It certainly was not an accident because the NRA arranges these shootings every day. The zealots in the Middle East like to promote terror in mass with suicide bombings but the NRA like to murder up close and person. One gun, one victim at a time.

- If the day comes that the Government wants to take these peoples' weapons they will hack the files of the NRA and be at the members doorsteps in about 15 minutes. Disarm them in about 30 seconds and leave.

Of course those criminals are mortified - they got caught. Evil is as evil does. Someone who commits evil is not to be excused because of the tool they used. Most of those who "impulsively" kill someone with a gun, would've found something else - a knife, a baseball bat, a rock. Furthermore, you say gun ownership should be totally controlled by the government. This is not, in fact, what was meant by "a well regulated militia" in the Constitution. If the government totally controls gun ownership, then they could take it away on a whim. What recourse would the people then have for the escalating violence done to citizens by government?
